BALHAM FREE FRINGE:
A Weekend Festival Of Free Edinburgh Fringe Comedy Previews!
At The Bedford (77 Bedford Hill Balham, SW12 9HD)
Fri 28th to Sun 30th July 2017

The Balham Free Fringe festival returns to The Bedford pub for its seventh consecutive year, with over 60 hours of totally free comedy shows across three stages.

WHAT IS THE BALHAM FREE FRINGE?
Every year we comedians all write new hour-long comedy shows, which we take up to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, aka The Destroyer Of Dreams.

Before we debut our new shows at the festival we do lots of work-in-progress previews, to make them perfect. That’s what the Balham Free Fringe is: A weekend of brilliant, nearly-ready shows. You get to see us for free; we get to use you like gorgeous comedy guinea pigs.

From stand-up to sketch, from new acts to TV names, we’ve got something to match every comedy taste.

All shows are non-ticketed, and totally free entry. Just turn up! Last year almost every single show was at full capacity, so we highly recommend getting there early to get a seat.

WHO IS ON OVER THE WEEKEND?

  • The mighty TREVOR LOCK!
  • Friday Night Dinner’s TOM ROSENTHAL!
  • Edinburgh Comedy Best Newcomer award winner SOFIE HAGEN!
  • Musical comedy titans JONNY & THE BAPTISTS!
  • Vegan transvestite metal powerhouse ANDREW O’NEILL!
  • Host of London’s popular political comedy club Lolitics, CHRIS COLTRANE!
  • Question Time regular KATE SMURTHWAITE!
  • Alternative Comedy Memorial Society founder JOHN-LUKE ROBERTS!
  • Edinburgh Comedy Best Newcomer nominee GARETH RICHARDS!
  • Rising star EVELYN MOK!
  • And many, many more.

IS IT REALLY FREE?
IS IT REALLY FREE?
Every single show is free entry, non-ticketed, first-come-first served. Get there early if there’s a show you want to see!

The festival is also a charity fundraiser, and this year we are raising money for the legal team supporting the victims of the Grenfell Towers fire. Every single show is free, and audience don’t have to pay a single penny – but if they like, they can donate after each show to this important cause.
